UNDERSTAND THE SCIENCE
- Concrete typically has a rip-up (tensile) strength around 2,200 psi.- When we properly prepare the surface and install our high-performance epoxy base coat, that bond strengthens to 2,600 – 2,800 psi.- This means the coating bond is actually stronger than the concrete itself — the concrete would fail before the coating seperates.- Epoxy was specifically engineered to bond on a molecular level with concrete.- Polyaspartic and polyurea are excellent protective layers, but they were designed to bond to epoxy — not as effectively straight to raw concrete.THAT'S WHY THE ABSOLUTE BEST, LONGEST-LASTING SYSTEMS USE A TRUE EPOXY BASE.
